responsible for the colour in the Bracco Italiano and produce a chart that will help breeders to avoid having tan point/tricolour puppies.
We require a total of 20 dogs for the study and are looking for a mix of Bracco Italiano subjects, both Orange and Chestnut, we would also like to include a known tricolour, fawn and tan point Bracco.
The cost of the study for each dog will be at a discounted price, offered to the Bracco Italiano Club by Laboklin of £108 including VAT. This will include testing for the colour bundle (A+B+D1+E1+K). The DNA is collected via a Buccal swab, anyone who wishes to partake in the study will receive a testing kit with instructions as to how to use the buccal swabs to collect a DNA sample from the mouth.
We already have a number of interested parties but need a good mix of the breed so we hope you will join us in developing this valuable research and get involved.
